A big thanks to all of you that emailed me about the baby news. It was really sweet to get so many supportive emails.
:)

I am always a little wary of some of the “new age” things out there but over the years started to read tarot cards . I love to pull at least one card every morning during my morning “sharpening saw” ritual and use it for inspiration or guidance. My favorite deck is the OSHO Tarot Deck. The other morning I pulled the courage card. It really spoke to me on a personal level as I move through many emotions and uncharted territory with my pregnancy.

I also thought of the Fruition Women’s Health Community. We are all faced with challenges in our lives. Sometimes it can feel challenging to think of changing the way you eat. Right?!

You may think, “How will I attend social events and deal with my craving?” Or perhaps you might ask yourself, “ Does this mean I can never have my favorite “treat” any more?”.

These questions are actually easily answered through the FWH program but the challenge itself might feel like you are squeezing yourself through the eye of the needle.

If you are looking for growth in your life (and that includes eating well) you might find it helpful to surround yourself with inspiration & support.

Here’s what OSHO says about COURAGE. I share it as a hope to enlighten your day with a touch of inspiration.

In health,

  food for thought

The seed and the soul- AN ACT OF COURAGE

Do you ever wonder why personal growth can often feel like you are squeezing yourself through the eye of a needle? Yet when you get to the other side, relax and take a deep breathe you say to yourself: That wasn’t so bad!

After reading the commentary on the COURAGE card from the OSHO tarot deck I was reminded that our soul is no different than a seed that sprouts and grows into its fullest potential. To awaken in this lifetime we are almost guaranteed to meet rocks and boulders. Learning to grow through them or find a way around them, to become the person we were born to be, is the path of growth. Before you read the commentary below you might want to keep these questions in mind:

Are there places you are holding back and resisting change? Where are you being challenged right now in your life? Can you relax into the natural evolution of your soul? How can you allow your seed to sprout and become all that you are meant to be?!!!

COMMENTARY #1:
* This card shows a small wildflower that has met the challenge of the rocks and stones in its path to emerge into the light of day. Surrounded by an aura of bright golden light it exposes the majesty of its tiny self. Unashamed, it is equal to the brightest sun.

* When we are faced with a very difficult situation we have a choice: we can either be resentful, and try to find somebody to blame for the hardships, or we can face the challenge and grow. The flower shows us the way, as its passion for life leads it out of the darkness and into the light. There is no point fighting against the challenges of life, or trying to avoid or deny them. They are there, and if the seed is to become the flower we must go through them. Be courageous enough to grow into the flower you are meant to be.

COMMENTARY #2:
The seed cannot know what is going to happen, the seed has never known the flower. And the seed cannot even believe that he has the potentiality to become a beautiful flower. Long is the journey, and it is always safer not go on that journey because unknown is the path, nothing is guaranteed. Nothing can be guaranteed. Thousand and one are the hazards of the journey, many are the pitfalls- and the seed is secure, hidden inside a hard core. But the seed tries, it makes an effort; it drops the hard shell which is its security, it starts moving. Immediately the fight starts: the struggle with the soil, with the stones, with the rocks. And the seed was very hard and the sprout will be very, very soft and dangers will be many.

There was no danger for the seed, the seed could of survived for millennia, but for the sprout many are the dangers. But the sprout starts towards the unknown, towards the sun, towards the sourch of light, not knowing where, not knowing why. Great is the cross to be carried, but a dream possesses the seed and the seed moves.

The same is the path for (wo)man. It is arduous. Much courage will be needed.

Look to nature today and see what it wants to show you about your life, your conditioning, your food choices and your overall nourishment.
